Default Carb Solutions?

Anybody tried these things? The energy bars taste like flavored chalk. AND It says on the label 2 net carbs, but then the back says 15! How can this be? The label also reads that the remaining carbs dont affect blood sugar, but Im still skeptical. Clarify if you know about this for me, please.

Before I was serious on Atkins, I probably spent a good $100 on Carb Solution Bars. I enjoyed the mint and peanut butter ones the best. BUT...don't load up on the bars. I only eat one if I'm on campus and there is ABSOLUTELY nothing to eat around me, and that is like once every two weeks at most. Those are processed and packed with all these nitrates in order for it not to go bad if it's on the shelf for awhile--which you don't need. The net carbs is right, It takes the total carbs - the fiber and stuff. Some carbohydrates have a minimal affect on your bloodstream, which is true for these bars.

But try to stay away from them if at all possible, ya there's lots of protein, but way too many nitrates and additives--which can, unlike the minimal impact carbs, affect how you lose.

Hope this helps.

Todd

The CarbWise bars are much better flavor, but, sadly they have quite a few sugar alcohols. I'm one of the lucky ones and sugar alcohols don't stall me, but approach with caution, they really mess up some people.

Good Luck!
