Default How to attach a link to a web-page

Hi,

I tried a recipe that I want to share and it is posted on another web site. How do I put a link into my post?

Thanks for your help,

Sally

First, copy the URL of the recipe, including the http:// which MUST be there. Then go to the Post Reply on the thread (or New Thread, if you are starting one.) Above the grey box where you write your message, there are some little pictures. Click on the one that looks like a little world globe (not the letter which is for inserting Images, nor the # which is for finishing the code tags, and not the "balloon" which is for quotes. Put your cursor over them and an explanation appears.)

Click on the globe. You first get a window to put some text like "Pot Roast Recipe" Then another window will ask for the URL. That's all. The result will look something like My board but without the spaces. Use the Preview Post to see how you did.

You can also just post [URL=http:// with the site inside and close with [/URL] but no spaces. And the whole thing will show.

Check out the "sticky" at the top of the index page for this forum for lots of neat features.

Thanks for the info, Tofi.

I have a cat that looks exactly like yours (assuming that is your cat!).

Her name is Bella and she is my little cuddly baby - now that my kids have entered the dreaded teenage years.
