Hi there Janet,

Yes, ketosis can cause headaches. The answer is to increase your carbs a little (healthy vegie carbs, of course! ) until the headaches settle.

The other possible cause of your frequent headaches is caffeine. Do you drink coffee?
I am particularly sensitive to caffeine, and before I realised that, I was forever getting headaches. If I went 24 hours without coffee, sometimes less, I'd suffer a nasty headache. It took me quite a few years to register that it was the caffeine - if I'd had a particularly strong coffee (I used to work night duty!), the headache could appear less than 12 hours after my last coffee. So I can't help wondering if this may be your problem?

I do hope you can find the cause and get over them soon!

thank you for the suggestions, yes I am working to increase my carb by a small amount,...my hunger level goes from none to can't get enough... and so does my suger level..... I know I have to balance this out.....
Coffee could also be involved,,,, I have tried to cut it out,,, limit to two cups a day.... tried one half decaf and real.... but alast I love my cup of coffee in the morning.....it seems like I have given up so much....... I am praying for the willingness. I guess if I was convinced it was the coffee giving me the headache I would give it up in a minute....
moving forward slowly,,,,,,, love janet
