Cool Painfully good

Well this seems to be working, I don't think I would recommend it but if you don't mind some pain it does seem to be work. I was injured a week and a half ago racing and now I have seen my weight drop any where from one to three LBS a day. I'm still eating the same and drinking the same so I know it's not that. I think that it's taking that much more for my body to heal and it's really tapping into the stored energy to get it done. Well I'll just have to see how long this last...

I've got a pain threshold of zero.
Hope your injuries aren't serious. Feel better soon and congrats on your great weight loss.

Default Happened to my Maltese, too

Broke her jaw. I was feeding her 900 calories a day in soup form and she didn't gain an ounce. 900 calories is a lot for something that only weighs 12# dripping wet. I knew she was ready to eat dry food again when I noticed a weight gain, and the vet confirmed it by x-ray. Her jaw was solid again.

They say keeping burn patients fed is one of the hardest parts of recovery. 4000-6000 cal a day. Thanks, but no thanks.

Good luck on your recovery.

Feel better but I do think what you said is true. For me, even stress makes me work (body) harder and I tend to see losses a bit quicker.

Hmmmm.... I think I will lay naked in the yard and cover myself with Peanut Butter and wait til the squirrels and birds devour my skin so I can be healing and lose some weight!
Seriously, that makes sense. I was thinking just the opposite though. I recently had a bout with the flu that coincided with a mini-stall and my thought was that my body was trying to maintain a "healthy" weight to fight the germs. Who knows... good luck with your healing and your weight loss! mad "go break a leg" mike
