Talking I said "no thank-you" in front of 30 or more women!

Had a meeting last night and they brought out a HUGE fluffy cake with a soft lemony filling!!! Holy Crap!

I declined...omg...hard, hard, HARD! There I stood, up against the wall sipping my coffee. ...and watching 30 women melt as they tasted this piece of heaven !!!!

okay...what's the good point to all of this rambling?...it's the fact that I just polished off a HUGE steak with fried veggies for breakfast. (it's now 9:00 here, I have been eating since 8:30....lol) while all those women are probably trying to "make-up" for last nights treat ...and living on water with a few crackers ...LMAO. It was hard to resist BUT well worth it!

I just had to share!

Happy Halloween....stay safe.

Cin

Cinderella, I was just posting about this very thing in my journal this morning. I used to think of being offered cake and such as extrememly challenging. Now I love to be offered desserts just so I can show off my newly acquired "I can say no to dessert" skills.

Talking It does feel good to say no!!

With it being Halloween week candy is everywhere. And on top of that my son had his 14th birthday party last Saturday. Bought him and his friends a huge chocolate cake with vanilla cheesecake mousse filling.

I DIDN'T EAT A BITE!!! AND I DIDN'T MIND!!!!

It really felt good not to eat it.

I'm starting to feel more confident about making it through the rest of the holiday season. I'm on a roll!

Default Major congrats!

Life is not fair sometimes! The office is FULL of food of all kinds (except the low carb kind, of course) today since our office decided to bring goodies to share today. I brought a cheeseball and have been eating some of that along with some fresh strawberries and grapes from a fruit tray. There are a few dips that I can have also. Especially good is one called BLT dip. OMG! I have the recipe now and that is on my list of things to make and take to functions. It is out of this world. I'll post it in the recipe section when I have a chance.

I gotta say....

I have a wonderful supervisor! While she brought in Krispy Kreme doughnuts and apple cider for our unit, she also brought string cheese and summer sausage for those of us who are on low carb.

WOW Lisa...sounds like you've got a great supervisor. That's pretty thoughtful! I'm sure those Krispy Kremes were lookin pretty good but at least you had something there that you could eat. Sure beats having to watch others chow down. Best part is, you have no guilt later on. Too bad I can't say the same for the others. hehehe

Well I have a tub of chocolates here for the 'trick or treat' kids and I have managed not to indulge - not even the orange or coffee creme ones!!
However I am not going to push it, I shall take any 'spares' into work tomorrow, there's only so much will power a girl has on a Friday night

Default Those little chocolate bars!!!

I gave in to 3 of those little "Snickers-type" chocolate bars. They're in the small Halloween treat packages and they're about chocolate-size.

Does anybody have any idea what the carb count is on one of those things? Approximately?
