Congratulations Monica on your 7 lb loss!

Take your measurement too so if your scales don't tell you that you lost weight, your measuring tape will. Check out my last post in my journal to see how this helps with motivation.

Let's break it down….according to your stats at the top of your post, you want to lose 97 pounds. Over a one year period, that breaks down to:
8.08 pounds a month
1.86 pounds a week
0.26 pound a day

On a day to day basis you would never see or notice a loss of 0.26. The reality of weight loss is some days you might actually see a change of 0.26 if your scales could show that. But some days there might be no visible change, other days double that amount, because weight loss occurs in fits and starts. You might see a drop of 2 pounds one day, then nothing for a few days. That is totally normal and to be expected. The body resists weight change, and weight change is slow slow slow, but it happens.

This is why patience is needed, and when you break the weight loss down, it's reasonable and do-able. If you are consistent with your food and keep at it, 1.86 pounds a week is totally possible and you can probably do even better than that. The key is to be consistent day after day.
