Default Menopausal women water fluctuations?

I'm trying to help somebody out. They gained 2 pounds and they assume it is water weight. I mentioned TOM as a possible culprit, but they are 10 years into menopause. Does water still fluctuate according to some time frame for menopausal women?

I don't know if it's in response to what my cycle should be, since I was always irregular.....but my fluid load definitly does fluctuate day to day.

I've had a problem with retention since my 20's. I'm a nurse and spent some long hours on my feet!

I had a hysterectomy 2 1/2 yrs ago and have just one ovary....and that shut down 2 months after surgery. The retention is worse since then, and does seem to fluctuate, I'll have a few good days, then a lot where I retain badly. I wear support stocking every day, if I miss a day here and there sometimes I'm fine....other times even with them I get really bad swelling. I drink at least 3-4 quarts of water a day and take taurine and asparagus for the fluid, but it's no better or worse with LC.

Beth

I had a hysterectomy (ovaries in tact) in 1998 but still have the menstrual symptoms I just don't bleed.

I do bloat and retain water around the time I would have a period. How do I know? I use progesterone cream 25 days out of 30 for estrogen dominance. The days that I don't use it are the days I would normallly have a period and those are the days that I am bloated.

I have been using the progesterone cream since two months after my hysterectomy so I still have to mark the calender according to my cycle.

Hope this has helped.
