Default Under 20 carbs w/o being on Induction

Hi,

Do you think that it would be acceptable to be under 20 carbs, but still eat things that arent on the induction list. I have been on induction for about 4 weeks and dont have an sugar cravings and have had some weight loss.

Thanks

I think that's known as a "modified induction" where you keep carbs below 20gs but eat OWL foods like nuts, seeds, berries, alcohol etc.

That's all I know about it,.

Are you sure you're really under 20? Not to be picky - it doesn't really matter as long as you're losing - but remember that cheese, eggs, cream, coffee, artificial sweeteners, deli meats, most commercial salad dressings... these all have carbs, too.

I'd worry, though, if your carbs are coming mainly from "stuff not on the induction list" and not coming from veggies. They should be your main source of carbs.

I've been eating 18-30 carbs per day since induction without a problem. Just make sure you're getting your veggies in.

I am at around 20 carbs a day but not eating induction foods.

I eat nuts, I recently added blueberries to my diet, I will eat the occasional low carb chocolate, I eat the LC tortillas and drink carb countdown milk. I eat as many veggies as I like and just make sure to count the carbs for them.

I consider myself in owl but at 20-25g carbs

I have lost most of my weight so far eating like this. It isnt super fast, but its more what I can stick too and less limiting. Nuts is a big one for me, without those I would have a really rough time.

I don't see why you can't eat what you want as long as you are still counting the carbs. Just make sure you are not wasting them on empty foods, eat your veggies!!
