Default Awful 'induction' headaches...??

Okay, this is day two of induction for me and my SO and we both are having pretty bad headaches and just kinda feeling a little under the weather. I have heard of the 'induction flu' and I suppose that is what we are experiencing but my question is, How long will this last?? Also, already my appetite seems to be decreasing significantly (I don't really even feel the urge to 'snack') is this because of the flu or is this normal??

Any help would be much appreciated!!

It could be induction flu or it could be the onset of the real flu!!!
But try to keep eating... and increase those fluids...
It will pass.....(easier said than done!! ha! )
Take care,
M-

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been eating acetaminophen like mad and it seems to ease off a bit. I know it will be worth it in the long run... (just have to convince my poor throbbing head of this)

Only 5th day of induction, but whenever I get headaches its usually combined with my stomach hurting in order to tell me to eat.

Guys at work mock my headaches, so I play the Hulk and outlift them all

Day 3 for me as well Jenny, felt great when I woke up this morning but the headache is slowly creeping back. I'm going to nip it in the bud with a goody's (It has caffeine so I know I shouldn't be taking them but they work like magic)
before it gets too bad.

Hang in there Girl!!

Wow - This is my second time for starting indction. Its been nearly 7 months since I started Atkins and I forgot just how bad the headaches, lightheadedness and nausia could be the first few days on induction.

I ate 1/2 a slice of low carb bread - even though I shouldnt have - and it really seemed to help. I do remember that my DW had to eat crackers to stop her nausia her first time on induction.

I had wicked headaches for about three days when I started induction. Water helps, definitely. Hang on, this is the worst part of it!

Don't worry, this is the hardest part, and you'll probably feel better in a few days. Can't really answer about how long 'induction flu' lasts because it is different for each person, it only lasted four days for me, then i felt great.

Boy I'm glad I read this. Hubby and I start tomorrow so now I know what to be prepared for. We both have horrible allergies and have sinus headaches a lot to begin with- I'm guessing on the Atkins you can't take psuedophed. I still need to do some reading tonight but hubby took the book to work with him. I take allegra for my allergies- only take when needed so it's not a daily thing.
I'll remember to drink lots of water.

I've encountered severe tension headaches. It's day two and I feel miserable. But then I force myself to run 3 miles and it helps.
