Red face Is Anyones Else Sleepy ???

Does anyones else feel sleepier than usual on this woe? I have been on lc since november 03, and seem to be so sleepy!! I take my vitamins, exercise daily, and do drink 100 oz. water daily.
Just wondered if it might be "just me"!
Thanks! Julie

I've been the exact opposite - no more mid afternoon bleary eyes, no more dragging myself out of bed in the morning. In fact, for quite some time I was getting by perfectly happily on 5 hours of sleep a night (but that went away...)

I am never sleepy during the day. That is the total opposite of the way I used to feel. However, when I take the time to lay down at night, it only takes a few minutes to realize that my eyes want to close and sleep is close by.

Getting up lots to use the bathroom at night, so my sleep has been pretty choppy. I'm trying to drink less before bed. Other than that... I've got lots of energy during the day.

I have been doing this only a little over 2 weeks but I think I'm sleeping better. Only one potty wake up per night and go right back to sleep. Used to find myself staying awake for hours after waking. I hope it continues.

I have been doing this for about 7 weeks and lately, I have been very sleepy. I have no idea why? I feel like I get enough sleep at night, but I can't stay up as late as I used to. Even now, my eyes are burning and very heavy!

If I do not take potassium four times a day (99mgs) I get sleepy. With all the water I drink and trips to the bathroom I get potassium depleted real fast if I forget and sleepiness is what makes me aware of when I am getting lax

Yes, I've been very sleepy, no energy, feeling BLAH, don't want to do anything. I, personally, think it's that my carbs are too low, so I am working at upping them. How are your carbs?>?

Cool Sleepy feeling

Hi Julie,

I started the induction phase on Mar. 7. On one hand when I wake up I feel rested for a change, but by 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., I get very sleepy. With starting an exercise program, I thought it would help my energy level. Now I believe it may have to do with my body adjusting to a drastic reduction in my diabetes medication. At this time I am beginning to sleep straight through the night with out waking up.

Just a thought, have you had your thyroids checked recently. When my wife's thyroid level is down, she gets very sleepy and her thyroid medication is adjusted, she gets a better energy level.

Hang in there Julie.

Hmmm, I don't have a problem with my thyroid and I take a multi-vit and extra Vit C every day. I didn't know that lack of potassium could maybe be my problem? all of a sudden, I just got really really tired ! And I also exercise every day! (My first thought was, uh oh, am I pregnant? But I'm not!)

It was hell to get up this morning even though my stomach was growling. I had no spinach so I had 2 hardboiled eggs then went back to sleep. Getting up to go to the wahroom messes with my sleep too. This past week since starting BFL I have been so fatigued. I am still on induction and I think I may have to add 5 g of carbs on my weight lifting days.
