Question Gatorade substitute?

I have been very sick for the past two days with food poisoning or some sort of bug. I am trying to drink my water, but it is making me nauseous again. My mom used to make me drink Gatorade when I was sick and/or dehydrated as a child. What can I take to make my stomach feel better without all of the extra sugar? Should I just have the Gatorade so I feel better?

Thank you,
Julie

You could just drink the regular Gatorade, or you can make yourself (better yet, have someone make this for you) some homemade low carb gatorade.
Make some crystal light or sugar-free Kool-Aid with Splenda and to each quart of liquid add 1 level teaspoon table salt and 1/4 teaspoon salt substitute (the potassium chloride kind) and it's the same thing as Gatorade but without all the sugar.
Hope you're feeling better soon!

Wink Thanks!

PERFECT!

Thank you very much, Lisa. It looks like the exact recipe I need for my tummy.
