Default Should I try this WOE?

I want to lose weight, regulate my hormones, and just feel healthier and have more energy. I know that I definitely want to start low carbing but there are so many different books out there! I'm thinking about Atkins and Schwarzbein. I'd love to read about your experiences and hear your opinions!

Thumbs up

This website is great - welcome.

I follow Atkins and found that after the first few days during the Induction Period, I was fine and I found that most of the days go by easy - - actually, now that I am almost at that 1 year mark I find it second nature.

You really need to set your mind on what plan you wish to follow. I tried CAD and Atkins. Found that I did better on Atkins - although some have done well on CAD. For me on CAD, it was too easy for me to "lose control" and carb cravings came which gave me the opportunity to eat something I should have not. I also lost only 1 lb in the 3 weeks I did CAD whereas on Atkins I lost 3 lbs during that same time period (after Induction whereas you lose the most in one shot).

Whatever plan you choose - this is a great forum for support - - good luck

Check out the link in the right hand margin "Which low-carb plan is right for me?" You'll find many of the plans detailed there, with sample menus included. It's a good first place to stop.

Boy, thats just how I felt, so yes read the thread, suggested, to see which diet you could live with, then start looking at poeples journals. Remember too, that most of the weight loss/time lines in the books are over-rated!
My weight was the same range as you when I started jan 11/03, feel free to look through my journal.

Good luck Kathy
