Question Training Inner thighs

Trainer Dan:

I have been LCing for several months and in the gym every morning at 5AM, 5 days a week and I feel so much better about myself! Anyway, I have gained a great deal of muscle and trimmed down all over (which is great) but I can't seem to strengthen my inner thighs to my liking. I use the adductor/abductor machines twice a week, but it's just not working for me. Can you suggest some other exercises that might target this area, please? I certainly would appreciate your assistance. Thanks so much! Jen

Red face I know I'm not Trainerdan BUT

...when I work my inner thighs I do wide stance squats and the leg press.

Wide stance squats: stand with legs a bit wider than shoulder width with toes pointed outward. Squat to parallel. These are killer for the glutes too.

Leg press: position legs in the middle portion of the foot pad. Feet should be close to the edges with toes pointed outward. the move looks like a seated version of the last exercise. This also works the glutes.

I'm seconding Niky on those Wide Stance Squats. That exercise is KILLER!! and I have definately been both feeling the effects and seeing them! Try them!

Default Not dan but.

The innerthigh machine at the gym works for mine. i was doing a day (10/10 reps) (at a hard enough weight). If you are doing them already, the weights not high enough and/or you're not doing enough.

And the squats Niky mentioned are great..

At home you can also do inner thigh lifts using weights and another easy home exercise is to just lay on your back (or sitting) and put a ball between them and keep squeeeeezing em.

The machines at the gym are easier though.

This site has some exercises on it and answered Q&a's

Wink Inner thigh workout

Thanks so much for your replys to my message! Tomorrow is leg workout day and I'm going to give these a try. If you don't hear from me anytime soon, you'll know they had to carry me out of the gym! I'll try each one and up the reps/weight on the leg machine too. Thanks, it's so great to have someone to get these answers from who's been there.

You might also want to try lunges. You can do one leg at a time or you can do "walking" lunges which really kill you.

Those muscles are some of the hardest to get firm!
