Default newbie to forum

Hello Everyone, I just found the forum and think its great. I can always use fresh ideas and support. I have been following Low Carb since Jan. 2002. I love the Atkins plan, but haven't been doing good lately, especially when the Oreos call to me. I was sick for 2.5 years and I have never felt so great since I started this, I have lost 40lbs and have another 40 to go. However I am stuck where I am weight wise (because of the junk food attacks lately) and probably need to go back to induction because I have been getting sick again. Hopefully I can get back on the wagon now that I found this forum.

Nice to meet all of you... Take care

Thumbs up Welcome

Hi Mollysmama

Welcome to the forum, I'm glad that you have found us.

Congratulations on the 40 pounds that you have lost since January, well done.

You are at a turning point now and need to make a decision to take yourself forward and to loose those remaining pounds. As you say, those extra carbs you are having at the moment are making you feel ill. Listen to your body talking and make it better!!

I think it would be helpful if you started a journal. I find mine a great motivator and it keeps me on track. I also have a record of my progress and I have met a great bunch of people through it. To find out about starting a journal read the sticky at the top of this forum.

Going back to induction for a week may be the kick your body needs to get you going again. I doubt that you need do it for much longer, but increase your carbs to around 30 or even 40 g a day. I thought it would make a big difference to me increasing my carbs, but have found no problems. No weight gain either. Too many calories, over 2,500, are more of a problem for me.

Every success.
