Default Are there any non-vegetables that go well with cream cheese?

Are there any things that you like to eat with cream cheese, which are atkins friendly, but not vegetables?

I take 1/2 an avacado and mix it with cream cheese. You can also mix cream cheese with egg, splenda, and a little vinilla and then microwave for a mock danish. There are also low carb cheesecakes you can make after induction that use cream cheese. It can be used in omlettes, just warm in microwave enough to make it really spreadable. You can also whip some cream with DiVincci syrup, then add in cream cheese or whole milk riccotta for a great dessert, throw in a few berries for a real treat.

how about rolling it up in a slice of (deli type) roast beef? I also like it on celery. and I use it in omlettes.
edit- Like Terri_K said, it's good with smoked salmon too. I do a roll up there too.

Default Pork Rinds and Cream Cheese

I've been doing Atkins for a while but, alas, some things always come as a surprise. Are we allowed to have cream cheese in induction? And I've never tried pork rinds - can you get them at the grocery store? What section of the store would they be in?

Thanks!

Cream cheese can be rolled up in any meat - ham, beef, smoked salmon
and it is great - very handy to take for lunch/snacks

Yum..cream cheese...I like it with a spoon

I used to eat peanut butter like that, but now a spoon of cream cheese works.

Think of it as a popsicle!!

pork rinds are usually in the chip aisle. i dip mine in regular chip dip (only the lower carb varieties, of course). 'course, the irritating mild bacon flavor keeps you from consuming too much at one time... which is a good thing.

I just tried and got my husband hooked to low carb tortillas spread with cream cheese and a low carb fuit jam. That is wonderful and masks any weird taste the tortilla may have!

I love cream cheese with low carb tortillas too. My favorite is Tortilla Factory Garlic and Onion, smothered in cream cheese.

Cream cheese is allowed on Induction, but you must include it as part of the 3 - 4 oz of cheese per day limit ... just in case you have another type of cheese on the same day.

Note - 1 oz cream cheese = 2 level Tbsp

hth,

Doreen
