Default Low Carb Energy Magazine

I picked up a copy today, and plan to subscribe! A variety of articles, recipes, coupons, book reviews... a pretty good read. Kind of thin for the $4.99 newsstand price, but at the subscription rate it would be a good deal. ($29.94 for 12 issues)

Eh. I like Low Carb Living better.

The men's article on "how to eat low carb when out with the boys" was a real turn-off. DH said he couldn't buy it on principle because the article was that bad (form and content).

I haven't seen these magazine's on the racks yet, but then again, I do live in a "boonie" town. I really want to read one badly...what kind of articles are there?

This was the first one I've seen, so I can't compare. So far, the recipes are good, funny articles about trying to eat low-carb and still feed a family... eating low-carb while travelling. An overview of the up and downsides of various artificial sweeteners.

While I agree, Paris, that it's not exactly hard-hitting journalism, it seems to be a pretty informative collection of things. That's the good thing about more of them coming out. We can all find something we like!

I went and bought one tonight too potato, I can't wait to try the strawberry jelly recipe. I'm sick of paying $5 for a jar of the kind of jelly I like!

I got my first issue in the mail today (I subscribed online), and I really like it better than the other Low Carb one - there just seems to be more tidbits to read - altho it's pretty thick full of frankenfood ads!
