Default Hi Everyone - Newbie Here!!

Hi everyone,

Newbie to these forums but have found them to be an excellent source of advice and information - plus the support on here seems amazing!!

Ive read through some of the success stories and looked at peoples journals. They are so inspirational.

Started a journal of my own yesterday - under the same heading as this post - anyone who wishes to take a look or post there do so - it would be so appreciated.

Today, day 4, has been a particularly good day and have felt the energy rush Ive seen mentioned in some other posts. Feels wonderful to feel this good - hope it lasts.

Well, good luck to all you fellow new low carbers - here's to a slimmer, healthier, happier us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Longsox xx

Hi LongSox and Welcome!

I see our height and stats are about the same (I put my goal at what I acheived in 1998 on Atkins). I have lost 12 pounds since May 19th when I restarted Atkins. It will be interesting to see how our weight progresses (or digresses???)

I popped in to your journal to see how you are doing. One thing you might want to do is occasionally write down your day's menu, just in case you start running into stalls down the road. I do about once a week or so when I have time.

Anyway, look forward to reading more of your posts!

Hi Shelly,

Thnx for the welcome!!

I am so impressed that you reached 135 before - wow just so amazing wtg!! I was rather conservative with my goal weight. The last time I can remember being comfortable with my weight was when I was 18. I was around 154lbs. According to charts (they vary) this is still overweight for my height but I could fit into a UK size 12 which is a USA 8 I believe. I felt good at that weight, soooooo if I lose successfully I will amend my goal weight to 154.

Your doing well so far - a great loss. I cant wait to see the scale on Saturday morning. Im hoping for good things during induction. I already feel better, and my clothes are not as tight. Dont get me wrong, they aint falling down, lol, but they are comfortable instead of pinching on the waists etc.

I certainly will start adding a daily menu once a week, listing a typical days food, will be good to get feedback. I also intend to set myself mini goals - will be another way to boost me on my journey.

Good luck and I'll check out your journal too

Longsox
