Default question about a recipe

i was wanting to make a egg sausage casserole this week. does anyone have any recipes or suggestions on how to make it. (most recipes call for old bread, can i just leave it out?) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks[COLOR=DarkOrange]

Check out the quiche recipes in the kitchen section of this forum. You can make it as a full casserole, or devide it into individual muffin cups for single servings

Just leave the bread out of it. For mine, I put cooked, broken up sausages on the bottom, dot with cream cheese, put my shredded cheese over that, then pour the egg/cream mixture over. Tastes fine.

I guess it depends on what you want. I myself don't like bread in my egg anyway.

Typically a heavy atkins recipe:

12 eggs (large)
1 cup half and half
2lb cheese (I use Hard Cheddar and Roqueford)
1 lb of chopped bacon
3 TBLS Season Salt
3 TBLS Curry

Mix it all together but shread about 4 oz of the cheese and place that aside.

In a 9x9 glass backing pan toss it all in until the firmness you like is reached (some people lke theirs watery). Cooking at 300-350 works well.

A word of warning. This isn't a carb free dish. The Cheese, egg both have trace Carbs. They add up quickly.
