Default Yummy Tandoori Chicken Drumsticks

Chicken needs to be marinated for minimum of 4 hours.


8 chicken drumsticks skinned
5 tsp Tandori Mix spices
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp vegtable oil
2 tbsp lime juice or lemon juice
2 crushed garlic cloves
2" fresh root ginger grated or 1 tsp of ground ginger
1/2 onion chopped
1/2 pint of double cream

Score the drumsticks with a sharp knife.
Crush the garlic with the salt,add ginger and crush more.Add the Tandoori powder and the lime or lemon juice and stir well getting rid of any lumps.

Heat oil in a pan over a high heat and then add the spice mice and fry untill aromatic, add the onion and fry until soft. Remove from heat and add the cream stirring it well in and leave to cool a little.

Put the chicken in a bowl and add the Tandoori mix being sure to cover all chicken well and leave in a cool place for at least 4 hours.

when ready to cook preheat oven to 230F / GAs mark 8

Place chicken on a wire rack or ona baking tray and bake in the over for 20 to 30 mins turning once.

Thanks for the recipe! I love tandori chicken. I used to use yoghurt in mine instead of double cream. I'm going to have to try this.
