Default Blood Test Today

Well, it has been a year on Atkins and my work had a free medical screening today. Basically, they tested glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure.

In the line, everyone talked about my Atkins diet and how it can't be good for me, they could never give up carbs, they can't because they have bad cholesterol, blah blah...

As I sat down, the nurse started in that although she knows I did great on Atkins, she heard someone is suing, and it is so controversial.... blah blah blah...

Well, after she was done, I asked her what the readings were. Glucose was 4.5 (needed to be below 7.7), blood pressure was 122/80 (used to be >140/90) and my total cholesterol was 4.1 (metric, needs to be below 5.5). Oh, my pulse was also 48 resting.

She smiled and told me I was a picture of health. I asked if I could go get my omelet and bacon for lunch. She said "Yeah, get cheese on it too...."

ROFL... made my day...
