Cool Delicate and - well - moist question….

Among all the strange and wonderful things this WOE does to my body there’s one I’ve yet to figure out: It concerns my (our?) urine.

I’ve always learned that a true sign of drinking enough water is when my urine is clear. I’ve even preached the messages to friends and family when vacationing in warm climates when it’s so easy to get dehydrated.

I drink 3 liters of water a day on Atkins. Especially during the afternoon I have bathroom calls almost every hour, but my urine is never completely clear. It’s always pale yellow and there seems to be a weak oil slick on it.

Now for the question: Do I actually sort of pee fat when in ketosis?

If you're taking vitamins, it could certainly explain a darker urine color. I know mine goes bright yellow after I've had my daily vitamins.

Clear urine actually means you've been drinking a bit too much water. Most doctors will recommend you drink until your urine is straw (pale yellow) color.

But yes, B vitamins will cause your urine to be orange-ish or darker yellow.
