Default atkins vegitarian

Hi,

I am not a vegitarian but i have a friend at work who is and has recently started atkins. She is finding it very hard to do atkins vegitarian style. I know there are some people on here who do this successfuly. I just can't remember who you are. Would all you atkins vegitarians let me know who you are so that maybe i can get you in touch with her and you could possibly help her out. Thanks in advance.

Jon

Me, sorta. I was a vegetarian when I started on Protein Power last year, but it was pretty close to an Atkins meal plan. Wouldn't qualify for induction, but I was able to keep my carbs to about 30 g.

You could always have your friend drop by the forum. We have a lot of good info in the vegetarian forum (it's hiding under "other LC plans".)

Hey jon-

I am one of those crazy Atkins vegetarians. Probably the two hardest things are getting enough protein and getting enough fat. I have to make sure I add fat to all my meals, since I am not getting any from fatty meats. I do eat cheese and other dairy and that makes it much easier. If your friend doesn't eat dairy it is going to be harder.
