Question Planned insulin surge

I have been playing with a program called The Sugar Addicts Total Recovery Program. It is not low carb, but "slow carb" (their words).

Well I'm back to Carbohydrate Addicts Plan, but I like the idea of a planned insulin spike to help raise serotonin levels.

Has anyone had any experience with doing a planned insulin surge? If so why did you do it, and what were your results?

After getting everything tested, my doctor changed my diet. Now he wants me to limit myself to 40 carbs per day, and only 2 - 3 days. However, I get 4 - 5 days per month for cheat days , which would cause an insulin spike. I'm wondering how that's going to go. My personal trainer said it shakes up your body and gets it back on the losing streak. We'll see...

Well, that made no sense. 4 -5 cheat days per month, with only 2 - 3 meals per day. That's what I meant to say. I can tell it's Friday and almost quitting time.
