Default Diet Chocolate Soda?

I know this is probably a stupid question, but can anyone tell me where I can get this? I have the atkins diet cookbook and a few of the recipes I'd like to try call for this and I can't find it anyplace in our markets. Does it really exist?

TIA

I used to be able to find Canfield's Diet Chocolate Soda in groceries everywhere. It was a big hit in the 1980s after rave reviews in the New York Times. But for several years I haven't seen it, and I have looked.

I bought some DaVinci's chocolate syrup and found that added to soda water it tastes exactly identical to diet chocolate soda.

Don't expect this chocolate syrup to taste anything like Hershey's chocolate syrup. That has more flavor of cocoa powder.

You may not want to buy an entire bottle of DV just to make chocolate soda. I don't know what your recipe is but if you just used plain soda water, sweetener and a liquid extract (like vanilla), you'd probably get something close. If your recipe calls for some dry ingredients that you can incorporate cocoa powder into, you'll probably get better results that the chocolate soda would have given you.
