Question for Long-Term Maintainers
I'm a registered dietitian who recommends a low carb approach for weight management, diabetes, and conditions associated with insulin resistance, such as PCOS. I'm writing a blog post about long-term weight maintenance and would like to include a list of people who have maintained a loss of 50 pounds or more for at least 3 years via some form of carb restriction. I want people to understand that although it certainly isn't easy and may not be feasible for everyone, achieving and maintaining a signficant loss is possible.
If you meet the above criteria and would be williing to briefly answer the question below, I'd very much appreciate it:
What do you believe has been the biggest factor in helping you successfully maintain your weight loss, given that most people regain some or all their weight within a few years, regardless of dietary approach?
Please email responses to franziska~lowcarbdietitian.com. Thanks very much!
