Thumbs up A Surprise from the Doctor!

Noooo,,, not another stork delivery...but lowered blood pressure! It has been borderline high for about 2 years now, taking a little Hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) each day. But today...it was 122/82!

I commented to the dr, "You're kidding, right? I mean, I'm still overweight."

She replied "You are eating better now and exercising...and your'e watching your carbs with Atkins!"

WHOA!!

She also wanted to run a panel of bloodwork which Dr. Atkins strongly suggests in his DANDR anyway. This will keep an eye on the kidney activity with the low-carbs and HCT rx.

Does anyone else have success stories on their weight, blood pressure, or cholesterol from the doctor???

I'm all smiles...~Annie-Pie~

I walked into my dr's office about 6 weeks ago after having bloodwork done to find her beaming and waving about the results form. My cholesterol was normal for the first time in over 4 years (when I'd first had it tested, so it may be normal for the first time in much longer than that). She had no idea what Atkins was (it isn't big here in Australia) but she said I was doing something very right.
