Default Recipe analysis help

I make my own salad dressings. I have been trying to find a site that will let me enter my recipe and give me the breakdown for calories/fat/carbs/etc. Does anyone know of any links that will do this??

Thanks

Hi Tracy,

Do you know about www.fitday.com ? It sounds like just what you need. It's a free site that gives you a breakdown of calories, carbs, protein and fat.

This thread Fitday.com How To's gives some hints on making it a bit easier to use.

HTH

I have been using Fitday, but that means getting the individual counts for each item - I was sure there were some sites out there that would do that analysis for you. A few years ago I was doing Low Fat (loser ) diets and I could swear there were sites that would analyze a recipe. I just can't remember where they were.

If it comes down to using Fitday - I will have to set aside a full afternoon to figure them out.

Wink Thanks, Rose

The link you sent me with the tips for Fitday contained the info I needed after all. Another user mentioned a site called Dietsite which has a recipe analysis option. I was able to enter my salad dressing recipes and get a nutritional chart that I could enter into the custom food data on Fitday.

When I used fitday I would pick a fresh day and put in all my ingredients to get totals. Then open another fitday window and use those totals to create a NEW CUSTOM FOOD and put in with the totals how ever many servings that total equals.

Then delete them after your food is created.

Then click on the custom food and choose 1 serving of the new food and it is broken down for you.
