Default Total Calories

Hey everyone I was sitting here at work and I was thinking about how many calories I am eating. Back when I was the Atkins diet I was eating between 1800 and 2000. When I changed over to the Neaderthin diet my calories went up to about 3000 to 3100, however my weight loss actually started to speed up. When I was doing Atkins I was really doing Neanderthin but with butter and cheese. It is really interesting to me that this could happen. Any way I was kind of wondering how many calories most of you eat if you know. I know a lot of you don't keep track of carbohydrates or calories or any of that. I am a little OC and keep track of everything. Do any of you know the average number of calories that the hunter gathers consumed?

Regarding hunter-gathers caloric intake - high when they caught game, low when game was scarce.
No I do not count carbs or calories, but you can if it makes you feel better and if it works for you.
Seriously though, if your caloric intake has increased and your weight has decreased, then you are doing very well. Keep up the good work.

Thumbs up

Good job, Cratepiece! I have found that I must eat aroung 3000 calories to feel good and maintain my weight. I guess if were heavier, I would still be losing at that level. I still eat some dairy and consume some caffeine and artificial sweetners, though, so maybe the calories could be even higher if I laid off that stuff.
