Default Any exercising tips to get rid of arm fat?

I think prob this thread is a little bit off, but I have been thinking of ways to reduce the fat that is in between my armpit and torso. I hope to wear a sleeveless top one day in grace...~

i heard that to do exercises such as pulling cables (ie just like a bird flying) can help.

Any tips?

Fumih, have a read through this thread:

http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=135230

To lose that particular fat you have to lose body fat - you can't choose an area, unfortunately!

There are exercises you can do to help tone that area, so when you do lose the fat you'll have firm and defined arms. You want to focus on the triceps, as these are the biggest arm muscles (the ones that run along the back and underneath the upper arm).

www.exrx.net has a great section on weight lifting, with a map of the body. Click the area and you can get the exercises that target it.

i got feedback from a friend that running is the best way to tone down flabby arms...i was thinking probably it tones 'on the overall'.

on average how long does it take to tone down a specific area if i train myself twice or thrice a wk...for less than 1/2 hr? i mean weight training on arms.

Fumih, it's not something that can be answered definitively. YMMV. It generally takes 6 weeks of lifting heavy weights to grow new muscle, so I would not expect any dramatic changes before that amount of time.
