Default A Spotty Question

Hiya Everyone,

Im pretty new to this forum but have a question...

Ive been on Atkins for the last three weeks and have lost 12 pounds so Im delighted with that. The only problem I have is that I have been covered in spots for the last three weeks too!! I am usually prone anyway but never this bad and they just seem to be getting worse!

I wondered if anyone else has this problem or had any advice for me. I am taking all the vitamin and Mineral supplements but cant figure this out.

Id appreciate any help at all.

Take care!!!!

Are your spots like hives? Could it be you're eating something you're allergic to? Might want to see an allergy specialist if that's the case.

Sometimes when I go back to strict low carb after a long period of cheating (carbs), my body will "detox" or when I'm eating too much dairy I'll break out and get a lot of pimples. Check your diet for foods that could cause probs - you can find out in the forums what many common foods are, and give it a few more weeks

take care,
Meg

Detoxing is probably what it is. Hormones are stored in fat so more are being released into your blood. Stick with it though. I always had skin problems. They got worse when I first started LCing but after about a while my skin became flawless. This was amazing for me as I always, always since i was 11 had at least 2 spots on my face at any time.

Stick with it, believe me it will help your skin.

Interesting. I have seen a non-iritating rash appear on my torso on three seperate occations while LC'ing. The rash clears up very quickly when I go off LC'ing. Not sure what to make of it.

Doubt it is a food alergy for me as I eat the same foods while LC'ing and while eating freely.

I was supposing the rash was a result of a vitamin or mineral deficiency although this is purely specualtion. I purchased a variey of supplements to see if they will make any difference as I am stepping back into a LC weight loss endeavour for January.
