Day 5 and Feeling Great!
Here I am starting Day Five --- no cheats either (how do you get that no cheating logo by the way?) I feel so much better and don't have that tired heaviness in my arms and legs... a Funny thing happened yesterday. I have been monitoring for subclinical hyperthyroidism and I was thinking to myself (before starting low carb)... why does a person gain weight who has hyperthyroidism?? am I a pig???? Well I had another set of bloodwork done and my thyroid has flip flopped and now I'm Hypo, which is ok because it make sense. I am now getting treated for that and of course being closely monitored.
the Atkins plan is awesome! I love the way I feel... finally finally finally I am in control after years and years of saying... "I'll start tomorrow..."
Been drinking lots of water...those Keto stix are fun and reinforcing. What's the theory behind not weighing in... I have been every 12 hours. Should I not be? (I'm down about 6-8 pounds).
