Question I have only lost 2lbs in 7days???Been lifting weights-Cause?

I have only lost 2lbs in the 7 days on induction.
I have been lifting weights 5x a week for like 1.5 hrs each session. I work each body part 2 times a week using 3 sets for each body part? I went up 10lbs on my bench press in 4 days. Is this cause of all the protein i have been consuming?
Am I losing fat and gaining (replacing with) muscle? Is that why there has been no weight loss?
I am drinking 4-5 liters of h20 a day.
I did not take measurmenst b4 I started.
I am going to go buy the testing strips tomarrow to see if i am losing fat.

thanks A' Yall

I bet that could be part of it..flyguy...especially with the heavy lifting you are doing...you might want to post in the 'gym' section..TrainerDan is there most of the time and is sooooo helpful..

Have you gotten over the Starbucks cravings? I am working on it..but it isnt easy..

My opinion is yes your body is replacing the fat with muscle. Also some people just take awhile longer to adjust to this WOL. Take your measurements and then recheck them in a couple weeks. Do U have a journal? Post your menus in there and maybe we can help with them aswell.

2 pounds a week is about the maximum you could expect to lose, considering how little excess body fat you have. It's not physiologically possible to lose more than 2 pounds/week of fat for men, nor 1.5 pounds per week of fat for women. Any additional loss will be water weight (or, gods forbid, muscle weight). The people who read about who lose 15 pounds in 10 days are mambo-bloated at the outset! Body builders who lose more pre-competition do it by losing water and some muscle through not very healthy methods. HTH
