How many slices in the loaf?

not sure but now im thinking that 88g is normally 2, so i think 1 would be around 13-15ish.

The lowest carb ('normal') bread I've seen (by weight) is Burgen Soya and Linseed bread which wirks out at around 11g per slice, but I understand that there is a new Atkins loaf which is about to be introduced into the supermarkets and Boots that comes in at around 2.6g per slice - I have no idea about size though!

I've found that Burgen Soya and Linseed bread has the lowest carb count also. It also has the bonus of tasting great and it'll sort out any bowel problems you may have with lc. The slices are also "normal" loaf sized slices...not like nimble or Tesco low carb bread etc...It freezes really well too.

You can tell I'm a fan.

18 slices = 44.44 grams per slice, so 88g for 2 is close. 44.44% of 42.2 works out to 18.75g per slice.

Is this a "trick" question?

It seems that if you divide (with a calculator) 800g by 18 you get 44.4g per slice, or 89g per 2 slices.

So right there you can see that 2 slices weigh almost 100g

Since you have said that 100g has 42.2g of CH, and 2 slices weigh almost 100g, it follows that 2 slices have almost 42.2g of CH (or 1 slice almost 20g of CH)

To know the exact amount, multiply 0.444 by 42.2 = 18.75g of CH PER SLICE..
