Question atkins endulge bars

First time around with the Atkins diet I lost forty pounds without much trouble. Unfortunately I went off the diet and gained it all back. This time I have more resolve and am really counting the carbs plus exercising. I found the new Atkins Endulge bars to be very tasty and satisfying but even though they say 2 usuable carbs, they are really hindering my weight loss progress. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi there, welcome to the forum!

Yes, many, many folk have difficulty losing when they eat the LC bars or candy.
It's the sugar alcohols that cause the problems. It seems to be a YMMV issue.

Have a look at Low Carb Tips on the orange bar at top of the screen for an interesting article on sugar alcohols. Lots of info on other LC issues there too.

Cheers.

Yes. I love the taste of the peanut butter cups BUT they make me want more and more and more and.......

I even tried keeping them frozen so I would eat them slower. yeah, about 14 seconds slower.

So I have decided not to buy them again. And YES, they DID stall me too. Drat.

I don't keep them around; they're too easy to pop in your mouth. I didn't stall on them, but I would rather have some nuts or celery. In terms of taste, I did like some varieties of the Endulge bars, but the Carborite bars kicked their butts in terms of good taste. They were too good...
