Smile My new Dr. agreed to Atkins

My insurance changed...so this year I leave my diabetic specialist of 8 years.
My new Dr. is not a specialist...but GUESS WHAT...HE agreed to Atkins Diet.
He wasn't familiar with Bernstein..and I am not that much either, but intend to get the book this week.
I DID NOT get the "old diabetic diet".
He listened to me...and told me to use what helps me...so here I go folks...I bet you will see me soon droping some pounds, and I hope insulin and diabetic pills at the same time!!

Default Good News Anna

Of the seven doctors [all physicians] my wife and I use or are close to all either favor or use the Atkins plan....

The only concern was one of the physicians who was following up my bleeding ulcer became immediately concerned when I mentioned the Atkins diet..... She sat down and asked about my eating habits and wanted to know about my intake of fruits and vegetables..... When I mentioned our typical meals she was amazed and thought that Atkins or low-carb also meant few vegetables and no fruits..... Her opinion is that as long as one takes two vegetables a day and one fruit with a meal that the meal is fairly balanced.... When she learned our favorite fruits are berries like blueberries and raspberries and at least one mango and three kiwis a week she was approving.... She mentioned that the kiwi is an amazing fruit and has about all the Vitamin C one would need for a day...

When we were finished she fully approved my Atkins program....

Isn't that a great thing to discover!!!

My doctor also not only approves of Atkins, the diet he hands out is almost identical. He has Atkins and Protein Power books right there on his book shelf.
