Love your picture! I have two beauties, myself!

Diet soda - aspartame may cause one to crave other carbs (may not) and caffeine is not allowed on induction, either.

Fortunately Diet Rite has neither!

Question But why...

[COLOR=purple]What does it actually do? Does it slow down weight loss or is it that it's just not good for you? I've already had 2 Diet Vanilla Cokes today! And I guess I don't understand because it has 0 carbs! If I continue to have Diet soda on Induction, will I not loose as much weight! Please help me understand...I'm blonde! Tee Hee Hee!

Thanks for your reply![/

I'm blonde too!
Actually there are lots of people who drink diet pop and it doesn't seem to bother them. There are others who have to watch their intake of aspartame as it leads them to crave other sweets.

Don't sweat the ones you've already had as this may not be an issue for you, anyway.

I do know that pop isn't good for you, period.

I'm sure you're doing fine!

Aspartame is not sweet...it acts on the brain causing you to think its sweet. In some people, this can cause their body to react as if it were sugar. Insulin is released resulting in rapid changes in blood sugar. The release of insulin allows the other food you ate to be stored as fat. So, if you had anything with that Diet Soda, it can cause stalling and weight gain. The rapid changes in blood sugar can cause you to crave carbohydrates and make you hungry.

FYI- Caffeine causes water retention... so, just be sure to get in your minimum 64 oz. (more would be better- esp. if you're consuming salt) and it should combat that.

Good luck!
