~IOMW, I think the Old Bay might be a tasty variation, since okra is put into gumbo and Old Bay often is, too. Any seasoning you like would probably work.
Robin, folks coat in just about anything crunchy. Will yield a different result with each one. I tried this particular coating on shrimp and it was a disaster. Soggy and pretty awful.
