That looks great, Demi.

I had given up on this thread because the host site I was using stopped allowing hot-linking for free users - that included all the pics I already uploaded. I don't mind paying for a service that I like, but they basically held my photos hostage. I didn't feel like manually moving all the pics I have there. But there must have been a lot of backlash, because the photos are back again.

I wouldn't normally post restaurant food, but these were SO nice. Hand-made almost exactly like I'd make at home, but they're a pain in the butt. Bacon-wrapped cream cheese stuffed jalapenos. I ate 4 before I thought to take a photo of the last 3.

Lean beef & veggie stir-fry on a bed of shirataki noodles, sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.

...................

I took the finished stif-fry out of the pan, then sautéed well rinsed shirataki with a little homemade broth in the remaining pan juices .. just till dry. This greatly improves texture and flavour

^Nice! I haven't had shirataki in a while. I only see them at Metro these days.

My gut was unhappy from some restaurant food, so first thing I ate after it settled down was egg drop soup.

I took a pic because I had some green onions for it, for a change. I bought them and ate most of them maybe a month ago, but put the roots in a glass in the window like below. They grow back!

Metro is the only place that still carries the refrigerated ones (House Foods), but I can find shelf-stable types more widely (NuPasta and Liviva). Walmart, Freshco/Sobey's and Loblaws have them with the gluten-free stuff like lentil and black bean noodles. To be honest, this time of year I eat a lot of zoodles, what with zukes being cheap and abundant .

Love the double-duty green onions I did that last winter, when even the discount stores charged criminal prices for pathetically thin bundles
