If only they were as interested in figuring that one out? The fact that these drugs have a Black Box thyroid cancer warning on them suggests that the drug can create a serious issue... with metabolism.

Cancer is a metabolic disease. And yet, this "miracle" drug induces further metabolic derangement to achieve the weight loss.

To get results comparable to the results of a low carb diet. Without the dangers. Because somehow, eating ENOUGH carbs to pass their cholesterol tests is how we measure health.

After researching the way medical science handles autoimmune, I've also become wary of accepting the constant flood of steroids used to suppress symptoms. Just in my own small experience, people have innocently taken them and wound up with a serious issue because their flare might have been from an infection, which increases with the immune suppression.

Just a few years ago, a friend of a friend suffering from macular degeneration got steroids and lost all their vision. Studies found those routine cortisol injections for painful knee joints sped up the degeneration. People taking Flonase suddenly lose their sense of taste and smell... permanently. Still over the counter and I was told I should use that instead of codeine cough syrup.

I held out for the codeine because it's the only thing that works. And that's all it seems to do. Centuries of use tells me the only danger is addiction. And it turns out, sugar and wheat have the same dangers!

It just takes a lot longer to show what it's doing to us.
