Good Morning!

I was up at 5:30, but just puttering around and late in posting. Nat'l Golf day, huh? Who knew? I'll be out there hacking and whacking!

The tourney yesterday went ok. I didn't play that well, but our team came in 2nd! I guess everyone was struggling. The conditions were nearly unplayable. The course we were at has had 10 days of a lot of rain. Everything muddy and slippery.....ugh. Thick fog for the first hour or so of play. We couldn't drive the carts off the cart paths into grassy areas, so it was a lot of parking and walking in to your ball. It took forever go play the round. They had a yummy roast beef dinner following the round. Back to my home course today. I think I need some Advil before I go. So achy and just feel "punk" this morning. Too much beer and high carb food yesterday. Back on plan today.

--------

Trig.......I'm in awe of how you eat and how tightly you control it. I think it's great. You know what you need and you do it! Glad you have your internet service back.

Jaz....Fingers crossed that you don't get the "vid". I'm going to get a flu vax, but don't think I'm going to get the new vid one. I think you'll get some good incite from the CGM.

Nic....

--------

Time for me to start moving. It's foggy here this morning so everything at the course will be wet, wet, wet. Yuck.

Later!

Howdy ho

at the airport in Boston- our flight was supposed to be at 2 but we are on standby for an 11:30 and I think we are going to make it so yay. Middle seat almost certainly so boo for that. I'll put on headphones and try to pretend I am not in the middle bc I am an aisle 100 percent of the time girlie

Funeral arrangements etc- no idea. Sons are supposed to do it and I wouldn't be surprised if they plan nothing OR if they choose to not tell us until afterward. Whatever- not my issue.

Man I cannot wait to clean up my food. I pretty much did whatever on this cruise/vacation and I feel like I am seven months pregnant. Totally deserved. Ready to cut back and clean it up. Got my jollies! lol

Good Morning!

I feel good this morning after not having any beer or sugar yesterday. Yesterday morning I was a hurting pup after a day of indulgence. The cruise and all the food and drinks may very well kill me!

I'm playing golf a bit later today and then it'll be home to watch football. Today is the first day of archery deer hunting, so DH is excited. He just loves sitting in the woods. He's going alone, which I do not like. He usually goes to approx. the same place and I told him to make sure that our son knows where he is. If he doesn't come home, I would have no idea where to look for him. I hate this time of year.

Well, I'm hungry this morning, so I think I'll have some eggs and sausage. Need some protein. DH is in the kitchen getting his breakfast, so I'll try to wait until he heads out. I get annoyed when I'm trying to work in the kitchen and he's in my way. Especially when I'm hungry!

-------

Nic.....It sounds like you had a good time on your cruise. What cruise line & ship was it? I'm wondering if it's the same one I'm going on next October?

Jaz......Enjoy your weekend!

Trig.....What are you up to?

-------

Happy Saturday!

Hey there ladies!

Yesterday FLEW right by me! I was non-stop until I dropped!
Good news- (knocking on wood) I feel great and don't think I will come down with that nasty bug/germ my co-worker had. KNOCKING on wood.

Trig-
I loved your post on your eating. You are listening to your body. You are forcing yourself to eat what you don't what. I love that. It is exactly right on!
You know (this is going to sound bad)..... My co-worker eats candy all day long. not just ANY candy..... mini whoppers, snickers, and mini bars of candy. She brings in the 5 pound bags. I have nver dipped my fingers in that jar. Anyway, I was thinking as she started to get sick! Sugar feeds illness, keto starves it. that is science-based. I do me like you do you. I eat what I want and keep my mouth shut about others.
Although, she has asked me why I don't "eat" the "good stuff". They have catered meals (pasta) all the time. I eat bacon at those. Yup- I just keep it going. I have to. I can and HAVE gone off the rails and gained back 75 pounds. Never going there again.

Glad to know you are all up and running and the kiddo is back in a routine. I see that NC is slowly getting back power.

Lori- Yay on National Golf Day! - Your cruise is coming up fast girlie! I am excited for you!

Enjoy that free time to do WHATEVER ya want!!!!! LOL

Nic- Safe travels my friend! We are here when you get a minute to tell us about your travels!
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I am "moving" to the upstairs unit right above me. I want the top floor for the noise and sleep factor. Having those people that worked 3 shift above me for a week was miserable. They moved on and I wanted that spot. I am glad it worked out. Next time I pack up it will be to GO HOME!

I am another week down. This last week went so fast. That is one thing about my job. I am truly SO busy the next thing ya know I am done with my work day! I get up at 5 and on the road by 7 and clocked in by 725. I clock out at 4-415. I look up and it's noon and I think to myself- just 4 more hours. It will fly.

I am LOVING my Fridays...... Paydays, and it's a FRIDAY! I am loving the $$.... you betcha. I got a wondering eye though for a newer car and had to put that to bed fast!!!! LOLOL - What I have is fine. It will last me another 250,000 miles. Gotta love a Honda. I just wish it was a tad bigger. But hey it's paid for and runs well.

Well time to start my move!

BTW- I feel pretty good. Beef is the way for me too, but those crab legs had my mouth watering!!!!!

Lori, wow bow season already, came fast? I also hate when hubby goes hunting alone cause it is one of those scary situations that can snow ball very fast from good to bad, so understand that. Plus mine can't be trusted HAHA cause we would agree on like a time check in, like say 11-12 cause at that point his early morn hunt was way over and couldn't get him til like 2-3pm and I was like WTH? he would say something insane, like well the ATV flipped in the big dip at the muddy cross over the creek and kinda pinned my foot a bit til I got it out and then it wouldn't start til I worked on it, and eventually I got it running and back to the cabin and then I had to take a shower........blah blah......all thru that kinda chat my brain exploded

Good thing with your lc eating is you know your limits and real fast the body tells ya so I think you will do fine on your cruise Don't be in AWE of my lifestyle, lol, cause it is just the lifestyle that suits me perfectly as yours does you!!! It is so normal for me now that is is me and that is the base of it all so my zc lifestyle just is......no awe needed cause I find I am right where I need to be now, hey took a longer time to hit here, but darn I am here I am in AWE of those who can moderate but I just floundered and backslid and couldn't make it, but once we all find where we need to be, we all become rock stars baby!!!

Nicco you are on your way home into a small fire of it all. I hope all settles a bit and not a trainwreck of crazy. Sending condolences again and I know you got it under control and all that Time will settle things for ya and that is coming.

Jazz, wow very cool ya got top floor I know that is important to you and I am kinda the same way, who needs ANY thing about your head making noise cause I was in the house when the roofer dude was elvaluating and all I heard was weirdo azz stomp and creepy creaks and it was unnerving to say the lease Lol Nothing on the planet wants 'anything' above, like a mouse with a hawk flying over, like a cougar on a high rock perch to a deer walking near the cliff, ya know Instinct baby!!! natural instinct LOL

I don't take prisoners anymore. Someone says to me why don't I eat the good stuff, I would immediately say, yea your good stuff is killing ya, go eat another 50 lbs of sugar this year, lets see how ya fare. ----- yup I don't care anymore cause if SOMEONE TELLS ME first I have every single absolute right to respond.......they just don't know me.......how I will respond now to all is frightening to those WHO ASKED!!!! Don't give a sh**

yea screw new car, I get urges to buy and exchange stuff but in the end, what matters, money in the bank for YOUR NEW NEAR TO YOU retirement point blank for yourself. gotta take priority! But if they are giving one away free....yea go for it, nope, not gonna happen

-------------so all good guys.

get this

drove down the road to my local little IGA smokehouse store for a few things, my 90/10 sirloin burger to be exact cause I LOVE LOVE their meats, and near the little fire dept. I JSUT SEE hanging a big ol' frayed cable right in my passenger side path. I veered a tad cause with my knee jerk of 'don't hit that damn elec cable that is gonna lightening up my metal car' I looked and saw on coming traffic so I bit the bullet.....luckily no damage to me or car and actually drove home a road off that path. It freaked me a bit. SEE ROADS are scary when not even in a more direct path of the big disaster areas....ugh

so came home and asked The Chop what was the name of the little fire dept down the road and he told me, asked why? Said I gotta call Duke Power and told him all of the story and he said CALL 911.

HUH? I wasn't gonna, said nope, I am fine and blah blah and he texted back, what if that kills someone next?

OK

Called 911 and lady said yes call us on big possible issues like this one that can harm people and gave her info on where it was hanging and she said they are dispatching police out to assess. OK DONE DEAL

I did a zero carb purge. I am done eating certain things. Threw out a older box of Slim Jims, heck they were for Bolt mostly and I would indulge but I don't need them ever anymore in my life. Gone. Threw out a pack and 1/2 of salami I bought, not eating it anymore, 0 draw and it was starting to turn a tad dark in color, gone. I ditched an older stick of pepperoni in fridge that kiddo loves and I would eat a bit cause I bought it for her, gone. I hit freezer and threw out a older pack of 'Steak-Ums' that been sitting....used to love a few of those with a tad of mayo and melty cheese, realized ain't ever gonna eat another one again, 0 draw and SO OVER any and all stuff that doesn't suit my exact carnivore lifestyle as I am living it right now.

I am SO exact on my beef cuts, I am so now letting pork belly actually take over all my pork cuts I would buy.....probably won't ever eat a pork chop again, why?? pork belly is full on fat and meat, way better than a pork chop trimmed up cut could ever be for me. Chicken....done with all but full on roasters, I NEED ALL the chick fat at the bottom on the pan to slather over my 1/2 of the chick when me and hubby split one. I literally inhale so much chick fat it is crazy and it suits me so damn well it is amazing.....in heaven baby!!!

so in a redefine my zc life. all a great thing actually.

bit of this and that today
I FEEL FALL in the air. hate it. It was 64 when I went to the little store errand and I HAD to put the heat on in the car?? OMG I am nutso on needing hot weather for best survival LOL

be good all chat up later

Hey ladies! Waiting for the PLUMBER-
Went to turn on the shower- no water pressure. Then I went to turn it off and the handle broke in my hand. There is water running and no way to turn it off. I have been waiting for over an hour now. Ask me if I am irritated.

Check in after he leaves.

Oh Trig- this link is freking AMAZING and explains so so so so much!

Hey all-

Lori I hope your DH does okay with his hunting and comes back safe and sound.

Jaz how did the move go? Are you all settled? I assume you hired movers to help get your stuff upstairs?

Trig you are so firmly settled in your food lifestyle. You've found what works for you. Good on ya! Glad you called about that exposed cable/wire.

All is well here. DH and I went to see Emmie this morning after he got back from the store and now we are watching the Ravens game. Just a lazy day today. Maybe a walk later on.

It was CHILLY this morning both outside and inside. I'm a Fall Girlie so I'm happy.

I've tentatively bought tickets to take Marsha to Chicago Th-Sa for the internment. Is that the word? I'm feeling a little traveled out. Just got back, upcoming weekend Chicago, the following weekend Charlottesville.

Make it a good day!

OMG 6 HOURS later and the plumber who spoke ZERO English finally left! URGGGHHHHH- it blew my entire day. Very pissit over it.
I'm peopled out. The guy had no clue what he was doing. He spoke ZERO English had to replace a gasket and a shower handle/ fixture- SERIOUSLY 6 hours for that. Add that he brought his 7-year-old son. URGGGHHHH

Nic- Glad you are home and getting settled as well.

I want a day to chill!!!!!!

No, I did the move myself and every muscle in my body is screaming over it.
-----------------------------------------
I am not in the mood- the grouchy bear is out!!!!!!! Need some quiet time.

Back when I feel more like myself. Just grumpy-

BTW- Bengals lost to the Ravels- LOLOL NIC- I know you are smiling

Later gators.

Lori didn't see a post?? All ok I hope!!

Nicco, tickets for Th to Sat in Chicago. wow. I bet you are travelled out but I hope all goes well, rest up any way again before this trip too just to give yourself some down time if ya can.

Jazz OMG 6 hrs and with a 7 yr old....yikes. I can't even LOL

Yea I sent you that link because it also thought it contained SO much info to kinda give us a bit of 'path of our destruction' and why it goes down like it does for many of us.

notice how tho we can become 'fat addicted' in place of carbs on carnivore? I noticed alot of people over rely on fat on carnivore and when it was explained, I had a light bulb turn on in my head and gave the big AH HA! Makes so much sense to me.

On zero carb sites many force fat intake daily and that is something I will never do. One should not manipulate carnivore actually. It throws all out of whack.

We eat one type of food....animals and its fat content. If we force extra extra fat into our day or decide to eat only lean lean and like no fat such as a plain ol' chicken breast, each way we monkey with our systems.

key to carnivore. eat what you feel you need but get it from the food. feel fatty is needed, eat a ribeye steak or a nice hunk of pork belly or a nice fatty chuck roast from the crockpot. Feel like your body is not needing a fattier cut, ya choose some steak like NY Strip or even a filet mignon or maybe hit up some shrimp without tons of butter for dipping. Lower fatty cuts of chicken also without the added chick fat from the roaster pan kinda thing. Maybe hit up big ol' omelet made with alot of eggs etc....but our food choices should just be what we feel we need for the day.

every single time, EVERY SINGLE TIME, I tried to 'control' and force my meat choices and fat choices in my day I got myself out of whack.

we say it ALL the time. Keep it simple. Keep carnivore super simple and just eat what you love, what you feel you need in your day, eat ALL the good meats you want, never restrict or focus on forcing in extras when all it takes is eat what you feel you wanna eat

I almost feel zero carb is TOO simple LOL I am in awe of how easy this eating plan is but with all my old stupid dieting thoughts I actually tried every now and then to 'make it better' by getting in my own way.....once I stopped all of that overthinking and just ate what I needed without abandon for each meal in my day, I thrived on zero carb.

OK just some personal thoughts on it LOL I can't tell ya how much I love love love my eating lifestyle Meat Hound to the Max HAHA

---------so it is about 2AM......fell asleep early watching some movie and woke up a bit ago wide awake.....ugh.....I hope I can fall back asleep in a while?

but we got roofer evaluation dude from ins. co. coming at 8am so I doubt I will get any more shut eye LOL Probably just wait up now for him.....ugh bleck crap HAHA

ok chat up later, be good all

Good Morning!

All is well here.....not sure how I missed posting yesterday? It was same old, same old for me.....golf, then home to chill. It was a beautiful day and we had a good time.

I'm taking today off and don't have much on the agenda. I do have to do some laundry and then at Noon, I go and get my flu shot at CVS.

--------

Trig....Scary on that cable hanging down in the road! Good you called to get someone to check on that.

Nic....I hope all goes well with your trip to Chicago.

Jaz....Good grief on your plumbing issue. 6 hours to fix? I would have been livid, especially when you couldn't communicate with him.....and his kid??? What a way to spend your day off!

--------

I'm looking forward to a quiet day. Other than the flu shot, no schedule for me.

Have a good day.

MONDAY 22/26 weeks to go.

Lori- We missed ya! LOLOL- You and Trig are the early birds for sure!
I too got my flu shot last week. It was a nothing shot. Some years I get a big welt and my arm feels hot. This year- nada. I am not a big vaccine person, but I do get a flu shot as I am so exposed.
Is your hubby still hunting?

Trig- I too have found that some people put Carnivore/ or being Vegan right up there, almost religious status. I am not that way. I did think that gal had some amazing points.

Her thoughts on dairy floored me! Talk about a reason to NOT DO DAIRY! Weight gain for sure. I notice that EVERY time I eat it BOOM. Bloating, up a few pounds and just gross GI....... yeahhhhhhh.

Funny I went to my fridge and TOSSED anything that truly I "binge" on. As tight as I am on Carnivore I too had some meat sticks, old hotdogs, and salami that needed to go. I want to see if I can get these last stubborn pounds off. It makes total sense why I am stalling eating Hotdogs, Brats, and bacon, processed. Yup- Tweaking it up.

Nic- Goodness on the travel. This is your mom right? Urghhhhh
Where does your dad's mom live?
I know you will relax though when you go to Charlottesville! We always seem to pass one another!!!! Notice that?

You ever go to Tulsa? LOL
------------------------------------------------------------

I am hoping that these small tweaks produce BIG results, including energy. I think Exhausted is my middle name these days. I just don't seem to have the bounce I am used to.

I have to see a new physician while I am out here to keep getting my meds, blood work ect..... My appointment is next week and I want some blood work taken. I don't think I should be this dam tired all the time.

Although I have had 3 moves in 4 months and two job changes. That is enough for anyone. Not to mention a trip across the frekin country. I just can't wait for that month long beach trip- DO NOTHING but watch water.

Well I am irritated. I went to take a shower this morning and I have BARELY lukewarm water. They guy who took 6 hours yesterday didn't put the handle on correctly and it doesn't go all the way to hot. I am so pissed actually. I don't want anyone else coming by, and another day sucked up. Or having someone in here when I am not.
I am going to buy a hose and hook it up to the sink to go into the tub when I want a HOT bath. URGHHHHHHH Incompetent.... I wish I had more patience for stupid sh!t like this but I just don't.

Well time to put on my face and present myself to "The Man"...

Later gators.

Insurance roofer dude and my roofers outside discussing roof. I bowed out of all of it. Hubby to handle 1000%, wish me luck.

All I hear is creepy azz footsteps above me HAHA ugh

Lori, golf and chill. rinse and repeat. A darn good life if ya ask me.

hey how is your Sis doing? I almost feel like it is time for you guys to hook up for a few days visit??

Jazz, omg sorry on the hot water and plumbing fix situation. drive a person nutso right? it would me, others be chill, I be pulling my hair out HAHA

YEA that chat on addiction and direct brain receptors and more is just so eye opening.

I also dumped so must 'light food', I am only big azz heavy duty fatty meats mostly now. Things like hot dogs, eggs, salami etc had to go for me too. They interfer with carnivore, even tho they are carnivore lol

ALSO I knew you would resonate with her dairy chat.

I didn't. I had no connection to the dairy chat part of it at all. I can and did eat and still do have my dairy easily and lost my lbs doing it. I just didn't fit that over sensitivity to it category but when I watched this post I was like, wow, SO many people in our zc community can absolutely understand this dairy correlation. crazy right

so close to you being in the ONES.....not the scale HAHA.....the weeks. so soon ya flip out of the 2s and into the 1s

great learning for ya tho so hang in there plus amazing job experience added again for you.

Nicco, check in when ya can

-- sounds like someone left outside, hubby to come in and update me soon, chatting with our roofer people I would think....give ya update in a bit.

off I go.....oh to add, my 2 gray 'kittens' are huge with BB taking the lead. HIS TAIL IS SO FUZZY like he stuck it in an electrical socket and Lil Kittys tail is a bit of fuzz but way toned down then BB. Yea can tell them apart now HAHA Blackie is just a short hair sleek looks like momma's boy cat.

Yea I got 3 wild childs on my hands.
I like them, but hey guys, move on to being less dependent on me.

gotta get them to vet for rabies. and when to neuter. Kiddo coming home this Tues and wants hair cut appt since WCU closed another 2 wks on classes. I will use her cat carrier for 2 of them and she can hold on in her arms to vet. So gotta get that handled.

I am not into handling anything anymore. I want golf and chill like Lori.....I am almost right there tho too

see ya
