Congratulations to you! THis is very inspiring to me-I love to read about moms who lost control due to life and then decided to take it back!
You look amazing. What plan did you use to start walking long distances?
I have lost almost 40 lbs thus far without major exercise. I love to walk though. I have tendonitis in my right ankle, and will be going to the podiatrist on Tuesday. Im hoping to get some orthotics so I Can take up walking again.
All the best-you look WONDERFUL!

I used Hal Higdon's plan for walking
http://www.halhigdon.com/halfmarathon/walk.htm
It was very easy to ease into the distance.
Thank you everyone for reading and for the compliments. I know when i was just starting I followed Candiflip's journal and found her to be so inspiring. Her eventual success really motivated me to know that I *could* lose the weight.
It has been the IRL support of a running group that has helped me want to stay fit.

That was a beautiful story. I can relate to the baby weight story. It is hard to keep your perception of where you should be when you have babies. I can also relate to the "dead legs" on low carb. I just started bootcamp type workouts to make my time most efficent. (I have 2 babies in diapers and work full time) but I feel like I'm going to pass out now that I've been back on LC for a month. I just have to press on...

Your story was very helpful to me, because I needed to see someone who runs while on a low-carb diet. I used to run between 35-45 miles a week and was heavier then than I was when I cut my running. I was eating foot-long subs and whatever I wanted, thinking that running 10 miles should be enough to counteract anything I ate. I lost weight when I went through a divorce, but maintained and improved with constant dieting and running. Fast forward to today and I have gotten bigger than ever. I have problems with my feet, heels, and knees, that are made worse with the extra weight. I have wanted to get back into running because I always enjoyed the way it made me feel, but thought I would have to give up running if I gave up carbs. I don't want to even run long distances, but be able to run a 5k or maybe a 10k every once in a while. I'm glad to see it is possible to run when living low-carb. Congrats on your success!
