My weight of 326lbs back in November, 2006 finally pushed me to get my ass into shape, first I did the low fat diet lost about 50lbs or so then it stopped, then under the advice of someone said try the no carb diet since his wife had success with it, so I did.
It is the toughest diet I have ever been on, the first week is the worse, I felt like a drug addict going though withdrawal because I am not consuming any sugar and I am craving it, but after the first week it gets easier and easier.
Also what helped was I started to work out at a 24hr gym(Lifetime Fitness), I get up at 4am every day, get there between 4:30 and 5am and do a 3 hour workout, 1/2 on abs, hour on weights and a 1 1/2 hours on the Life Cycle watching DVDs on my portable Player (best idea I ever had, doing Cardio on those machines is boring).
Bought some new clothes (went from a size 3X shirt to a small, pants 48 to a 29 and I am only 5' 7" tall) which made me decide to post some pics (before and after) .
By the way, I now weigh 166lbs, total loss of 160lbs.
