My first week of Induction I went strictly by the book, however the next week & all those since (3 beyond the first week) I've included nuts in my diet. I personally felt the need for something more or I probably wasnt going to stick to plan.
I think the worst thing about the nuts is that if you get roasted and smoked nuts then they have a tendancy to incite cravings which we dont want to happen.
I went with Dr Atkins recommendation & got some macadamia nuts & eat 10 or 15 or so a day....... Usually dont want more than that & savor what I do have. They are simply devine.
I also keep roasted pumpkin seeds ( not the kind with hulls) called pepitos as well as raw almonds around as well as pecans.
They work great for me when I want "something" when nothing else will do.
They will have a tendancy to slow down weight loss from what I've read ( in some people) but Im losing slowly & steadily which works for me......... If you eat them, make sure that you remain in ketosis after you add them.
Take care & Keep on Keeping On.....
