Question What's Up With This Wheat Bran Labelling?

Okay, I bought a box of Quaker wheat bran today. Here are the stats on the box for a 1/2 cup serving:

90 calories
3.6 g protein
1.4 g fat
16 g carbohydrate:
- 1.6 g starch
- 0.4 g sugar
- 14 g fiber

...but the calories don't add up. Note that it isn't the infamous Edensoy Effect , because the starch and sugar quantities are stated. Did they simply include fiber in the calorie count, forgetting that we humans can't extract those calories?

Fitday didn't help much, because they have unprocessed wheat bran as a slightly different product with a little more carb, more protein and a tad less fat.
