Hi Katie,

I haven't read Laura Richard's book, but have heard good things about it.

Have you measured yourself? Often at the start of low carbing, we gain muscle as we lose fat, and muscle takes up less space while weighing more than fat.

My next suggestion is that you list some of your regular menus here (or in a journal?). perhaps there is something you are doing that could be improved. Have a look at Karen's Are You Really a Turtle? Maybe there is something there that may help.

If all else fails (these things happen), how about trying the Stillman Diet for a few days? I've just completed 6 days on it (wouldn't try it for any longer) with great success. But do check the "turtle list" first - there may be something a lot simpler you can do.

Oops! Just saw where you mentioned your food. The main thing I'd drop from there would be the LC cheesecake. Eating 9 carbs worth may well have given you an insulin surge. That sort of thing is my downfall. As soon as I have much at all int he way of AS, my weight loss stops cold. Just a thought.
