The author obviously shows no inclination to understand the Atkins basics, or the reasoning behind any diet. The way I look at it is this - If I eat bread, I get fat and unfit. I want to stay thin and healthy so I will not eat bread. The same goes for all the other high Carb foods. Its quite simple really, nothing magical or difficult and the choice of foods is amazing. Discovering salads and veggies makes meals so much more enjoyable that the usual pasta dishes or meat and potatoes.
