I'm terrified of falling for two reasons:

1. I still have trouble getting up from the ground. I slipped on the ice in a parking lot last winter and had to crawl over to a car so I could hold onto it and get myself back up. I am very much looking forward to once again being able to easily get up from the ground.

2. If I got seriously hurt by falling, I can't imagine who would lift me up. Also, I'm way too heavy to haul myself around on crutches. Last time I had to use crutches I weighed about 250 and it was a struggle. At my current weight, it would be even worse.

I will not miss getting over this fear of falling. It keeps me from hiking on some rocky trails I would like to tackle.
