He can eat his high carb sugary foods in front of you, but you can't eat your protein-rich, healthy foods in front of him? Rather than accommodating to him, perhaps you need to discuss with him why his way of eating trumps yours. Feeling the need to hide something as fundamental as the way you eat from the person you love is probably not workable in the long-run. My husband does not do low carb, but he certainly respects my decision to do so.
