I think CAD (have never read CALP) might be good for people who AREN'T carb addicts. But for true addicts, particularly sugar addicts, it would be like telling an alcoholic about a plan that includes reward shots. Perhaps after a person make a close examination of the types of foods that are their particular triggers, it would work fine. But given the risks associated with figuring out what your specific triggers are....
