What works for me is this:
Fewer than 20 carbs/day (usually less than 5).
Twice as much fat as protein.
Fewer than 1600 calories per day (my wife, who is smaller has a 1400/day threshold).
I don't know if it would work for you or not and I don't know if it is something you should do with your personal health challenges without checking with a medical professional first.
